I've been working hard all month on getting the pics up at the August Rush Challenge at 1_million_words, so I haven't been writing as much as I often do, but I managed five banners for the first two weeks of the challenge, and decided that I'd do another five that spoke to me for the second two weeks as well.

I don't usually comment much about the show, but...

I watched 3.22 last night and I have just had a quick look for people's reactions. The one thing that so far I haven't seen anybody mention is the coincidence of this ep airing the week that those girls were found in Cleveland. It's been all over our news, and we're not even American. Do people in America know about it outside of Cleveland or is everyone just not willing to mention life imitating art (to some degree, since yes, things went differently on H50, which I won't go into to so not to spoil anything)?

I was blown away by the coincidence, down to the girl they found being called Amanda. And I will say, I thought it was an excellent episode; some great work by the actors. Yes, there were unrealistic things, but hey, this is entertainment and all TV shows are full of those moments. I don't expect it to be exactly like RL and won't fool myself into thinking it should be.

BUT, OMG, TINSTAC, msb66! Seriously!

Two things I'm enjoying a lot this season so far:

1. Revenge. It never stops being fun. Although if Nolan and that girl are getting together, I need a drink. God, I love that boy. I need my own icon with something clever he says on it. Not sure what yet, but I need to work on it, or ask one of you way better icon makers than me to find something PERFECT and make something pretty. Plus, so much pretty on that show. Jack ( there's always a Jack, have you noticed?), Nolan, Daniel, Declan's kinda cute in a 17 yo kinda way, and now Aiden. Oh yes. Much, much pretty. Now, Anyone got any some slash recs with Nolan and any one of the other lads, please?

2. The Following. This is SERIOUSLY creepy TV, everyone. If you like your shows dark and weirdly compelling, this is the one for me this season so far. I loved American Horror Story last year (S1 only so far, S2 to come), but THIS. OH yes. Kevin Bacon is always good, but James Purefoy is deliciously evil. And there are two guys pretending to be gay (OR ARE THEY? Maybe not both of them...) on the side. Someone posted a link of Kevin Bacon & James Purefoy kissing at some press conference too - forget who, cos that's me. Was it you, halfdutch? Mmmhmm, I could totally get behind slash on this show too.

AND... What is happening to me? I completely forgot to find H50 online tonight and watch it. I was too busy catching up with things I needed to do here at LJ and AO3!!! Oh well, tomorrow is another day as Scallop said in Gone with the Wind. (yes, I did say scallop on purpose. I have this old joke which refuses to allow me use of her real name: 'Frankly Scallop, I don't give a clam').

And that's all she wrote tonight. Oh, but I did write 1202 words on a H50 fic today, which pleased me immensely as that series is now done and dusted, even if it was new yesterday and I still haven't finished any of those *mumblecan'tbebotheredtocount* WIPs. *sigh*
