haldoor: the road is long, with many a winding turn (bbt-insane)
Talk about madness... just got rid of the last of the mess from having two separate sleepovers this weekend, am glad to say.

I know I haven't been around much this week, but it's not been for bad reasons, though some of what's under the cut may seem like madness!

Good and bad things; craziness too, I expect! Oh, and pimping Blue Rodeo like you wouldn't believe, and I'm not even Canadian! )

Man, how do I even get so behind? I have no clue, but it happens. I've made as much of an attempt to catch up as I can now, so apologies if there was anything happening with you that I should have been aware of. Also apologies to everyone who has now received randomly late comments or none at all. I have been been in and out and extremely sporadic and random with them. I can't see me managing anything past that now, sorry!

I think I did enough of a catch-up of my own happenings the other day, and seriously, these days I can't seem to find much to note in here anyway, so it's all a bit silly! I have been enjoying working on my daily photos with my girls though, despite this afternoon's outing of doom wherein LF made it all a bit of a drag. He was probably hungry, not having had any food for a couple of hours, and kept pushing arguments with his sisters. *sigh* Kids! Who'd have 'em? ;-P

Still, managed some interesting photos in the end, and he's even in the one I chose for the day.

Here's a couple of shots I didn't choose for the Day 9 shot, just because )

Oh, also, posted fic yesterday: The third in my H50 Revelations series. Still working on the fourth.

Back to work tomorrow, but at least it's a short week - I'm off for another four-day weekend then.

And that's about all I have for now ! Revenge is on! Gotta go!

So, court. Went okay, despite the setbacks. The quick version is that both claims were dismissed, which in simple terms means we both walk away and no-one pays anybody any extra money. Which is all I wanted, really - just to clear it up and move on. There's a bit more, but for now, I can feel relieved and go on with my life. Thank-you Mr Referee, you were very fair.

The rest of the waffle here )

Good news:

- My aunt rang tonight and she can babysit while Mr H and I go out to dinner this Saturday night coming! WOOHOO!

- [livejournal.com profile] gottalovev, I finally listened to the Colin James! AWESOME! He rocks, and I like his newer stuff as much as I liked the first album when I was in Canada! Thanks for reminding me how great he is!

- Thanks to everyone who offered me support and good vibes after my last post - I'm sure everything helped make today go a little bit better than it might have! *smooches* to you all!

- Heroes is about to start, I'm going to watch! Catch you guys later! *kisses again*

I had a lovely relaxing time with the Hubby & kids, and got lots of lovely pressies with a fair quota of chocolate thrown in, so I have few complaints.

Well, you know I circled South Auckland for 2 hours last Friday, if you read that entry, so I just thought I'd share with you how yesterday's road trip went - we went North this time, and it took 50mins to get there (as expected) and 50mins to get home too! Had a nice visit with my best friend's mother, who treats my kids like her grandchildren, and actually left before rush hour! Yeeha! See? I knew I couldn't have two road-trips to hell in a row. Home by 4pm, bliss!

The only one down thing was it was supposed to be Family Night and I totally forgot! Couldn't be bothered to go out again (N2D's food choice, which of course would be McDonald's), as too tired, so delayed it til tonight after many tears... now the dreaded "fetch dinner" time has arrived and it's blowing like nobody's business out there, and raining! REALLY REALLY don't want to go out... but a promise is a promise, so *sigh*, must brave it... I guess I shouldn't complain - we can do the drive-thru thing.

Let's look up, good things:

1. I don't have to cook
2. The kids will be happy
3. I will have time to read more slash later
4. LF's tired, will go to bed earlyish if I get my A into G
5. No good movies on tonight, will write another story

And, as an aside... watched "The Aviator" last night. Weird man, that Howard Hughes. There was a scene (with longer hair and beard) where I could just see Karl playing this part... I'm not a DiCaprio fan, generally, so it wasn't hard to switch them mentally! Anyway, quite a good movie, I suppose, considering it was not my choice (Hubby's). I could actually not believe that my darling man had NEVER heard of the Spruce Goose and I had... what's with that? He's the fan of cars and all other vehicles. I just like MEN!
