I so couldn't resist. There's this site you can go to and make romance novel covers. I saw someone do it over at Starsky & Hutch fandom and of course I have millions of better things to be doing, but...

Steve and Danny were just asking for it )

Like movies? TV? Novels? Music? Can you answer yes to all of these? You can? Is that enough questions?

Well, then, I have something for you! Please go check out [livejournal.com profile] t_h_e_hamster. It's a very small comm I'm running whereby all the members offer their own opinion on various movies and TV shows they've seen, novels they've read and music they've enjoyed. It's small and friendly - it won't clog your flist - and no deadlines! Just post a review when you feel like you have something to share. And, of course, come and read otherwise! Pimp it out to your friends if you like; the more the merrier! It's very slash friendly, but all other reviews are welcome too. It's a place to find things of interest, share your own recs (other than fanfic) and to enjoy the company of like-minded flisters. Please check out the latest review by my good friend [livejournal.com profile] gregoria44 about the movie Labyrinth for a fine example.

Here's that comm name again:

I have a bunch of icons over there in the user pics if anyone wants one, but does anyone have the skills to do a banner we can use for it? I'd love you for life if you did us one! (or might be convinced to write you a ficlet). Thanks, my friends - you may now return to your scheduled viewing! *passes the popcorn*

OK, OK, OK!

I'm not usually so full of flail... but from being a little on the depressed side the other day, I am suddenly way, way up! And it's due MAJORLY to my Lost flisters who have jumped into the Lost Love Meme I began a couple of days ago, and said some incredible, wonderful, gorgeous things about all their friends (please keep going back; there are more names up since yesterday and they need more love too!). Man, I love this fandom. :D

Otherly, what's good is:

1. One more day of work before I have a WHOLE WEEK off.
2. Not being tired at work despite having trouble getting to sleep last night and only getting about four hours sleep.
3. Finally getting 'The White Road' by Lynn Flewelling from the library in time for our road trip! WOO! *pumps fist* (the newest book I've ever had from the library, by the way!)
4. ROAD TRIP! Leaving Wednesday (NZ time) to head north for a couple of days.
5. Lost Luau starts today! ;-) I'm going to be away from my computer for a couple of days, but I'm going to be inspired, I just know it!

*hugs* to all my flist just for being all round fantastic!

PS: Happy Belated 4th of July to all of my American friends. I meant to post about this earlier but I got carried away reading all the magnificent comments on the love meme (390 comments and counting! ♥ ♥ ♥) I hope you all had a wonderful Independence Day!

I had a lovely relaxing time with the Hubby & kids, and got lots of lovely pressies with a fair quota of chocolate thrown in, so I have few complaints.

Two things:

1. Wonderful Kids' story read with my own ones tonight: "Our Twitchy" by Kes Gray. It's the best adoption story ever! So cute. A rabbit finds out his Mum and Dad are not his Bunnymum and Bunnydad, and are in fact... no, can't tell you, that would give it away! Just make do with their names: Milfoil and Sedge, which I think are just gorgeous names!

Best bit (about Twitchy): "Its soft grey fur was smeared with brown mud. Its long floppy ears were rolled up and fastened with clothes pegs. It had a little dangly twig tied to its fluffy tail." (This makes me giggle every time I read it, and I've done so several times already this week. Poor wee bunny!). Okay, so I'm nuts! *grin*. So what else is new?

2. I'm putting this under here in case the idea of me losing weight is far too sickening for you to bear reading about. )
