...and quite clearly failing.

I would have had a really really good day, working really really hard if only four bloody dollars hadn't decided to get lost in the audit I'm doing at work. Damn, where could it have gone? I am so good at these things usually when I set my mind to them. Today, it's FARKEN lost and I can't find it.

In desperation and frustration, I am here, when I promised myself I wouldn't be. *sigh*

Other mysteries (points awarded for anyone who solves them):

1. Who is that in the pic in [livejournal.com profile] lostjane's latest post? (He's familiar, but I can't quite figure it out)

2. When will [livejournal.com profile] kaige68 be back online again at home? (I miss her dreadfully)

3. How many people read my posts but never comment on them? (cos I'm curious like that)

4. Will I fall asleep before I have to run around like a headless chook tonight after my daughters? (who have Brownies, Guides & gym between the two of them)

5. Why do whales beach themselves? (best imaginative answers get extra points)

Okay, I'm not posting any comments in anyone else's LJ right now because that way I can pretend say that I didn't really fail in my ambition to not enter LJ from work today...

Posting comments will occur later, after headless chook gets chooklets in bed. Hopefully. *sigh*

27 points for getting it second time round, though you didn't actually get the actor's name. And a *snog* for good measure.

I put a picture in my post? wtf?

I don't know why whales beach themselves but I know why they die. Does that count?

Sorry for your frustration. LJ does help, though! Let us take your mind off things...

WTF? I only come here for the WTF.

Why do they die? If the explanation sounds plausible or even vaguely interesting, I will give you more snogs than Kat lots of brilliantly coloured points.

And yes, thank the lord of the rings for LJ. I have no idea what I'd do without it in moments of great stress and frustration, probably write porn or something *laughs insanely*

thank the lord of the rings

*rofl* sorry...I just need a sec...too funny...

I got this answer from [livejournal.com profile] nomorescience just recently. The whales' bones are too light to support the weight of the animal outside of water, so they collapse and the whales suffocate and die. *sad*

Ah.... that makes some sense, I suppose. I award you 24 green points, 12 blue points, 36 yellow points and 3 gold stars for being amused. Now, if you want red and orange points...

1) you already know
2) I am currently geek-free, no clue how that happened, but I must seduce a geek over to the dark side and get the freaking thing fixed, no telling how long that will take, I'm not the greatest geek seducer, losers I could have in an instant, but I'm digressing. *sigh*
3) 6
4) No - you won't have time.
5) Guide Girl Biscuits - they get really soggy underwater. As the Wilburys say Store it in a cool dry place.

3/ Ah! I wondered. 1 point for each of them, but I give them to you, because they didn't comment and therefore failed to collect their points.
4/I did indeed close eyes for 10 mins, but no actual sleep. 1 point

Tuesday's post in the b&w, I have no clue.
Wednesday's post is a young Paul Bettany

2. When will kaige68 be back online again at home? (I miss her dreadfully)
Not soon enough obivously

3. How many people read my posts but never comment on them? (cos I'm curious like that)
Not me.

4. Will I fall asleep before I have to run around like a headless chook tonight after my daughters? (who have Brownies, Guides & gym between the two of them)
No, you will run after them like a headless chook and then pass out.

5. Why do whales beach themselves? (best imaginative answers get extra points)
Thy want to know how the other half lives. They are after all one of the few mammals in the sea.
