Hahaha @ the ear wax softener. A friend of the family once told me how his ear wax got so hard, he'd have to go to the doctor to get his ears cleaned out. Just gross. :D

I have had my ears syringed several times! I have a hearing issue and one ear blocks up quite easily, so it's good to have the stuff handy as they won't syringe unless you've softened them up for a couple of days first!

Ugh, so you know what he went through. :) That's too bad about your hearing issue though. My dad grew up really poor (one of nine children in rural Illinois) and due to lack of medical care and multiple ear infections, he was mostly deaf (not dead LOL) in one ear.

Funnily enough, I quite like a good ear syringe! It's warm water and as long as the wax is softened and it comes out easily (ie if it's hard it can hurt more), it feels quite nice! And being able to hear better at the end is a bonus, of course! ;-)

It makes sense though - kind of like getting your back adjusted by the chiropractor. It might hurt for a minute, but you feel so much better after!
