Good Things

Ok, since it's Friday, and dinner's nearly ready, I'm going for a quick good things list before I have to jump out of here!

1. Hardly worked at all, all week (which is good and bad all at once...)

2. Free shopping day Wednesday with the comps at work down for THREE hours! Ah, it's good when that happens just as you panic about Xmas shopping!

3. Sick day yesterday - felt better after the Panadol, and did some fun posting on the RPG with Coyote, James and Jackal.

4. Kindergarten rang this week (pre-school in NZ), and YAY! LF can start at the end of January when school goes back after the summer hols! Just what I wanted! (though my eyes teared up at the thought of my baby taking his first steps away from home!!!)

5. LJ gave us freebie-cheapsters THREE more icons for Christmas! YAYHOO! I went crazy... okay, so not very, now I have six though - double the fun!

6. Hubby's cooking dinner! and it's Friday!!!!

7. Found out today that my Aunt's going to be a Nana at long last! Excited for her! My cousin is pregnant, and due in June! Actually, it's the second person in as many days that I've heard is pregnant (the other's here somewhere *waggles eyebrows*) and both are due around the same time, how funny is that? Haven't had any pregnant friends or family for ages.

8. Choice of movies tonight: Matt Dillon (eyebrows, and those drop-dead gorgeous brown eyes *sigh*) in "Beautiful Girls" (I've not seen before) or Johnny Depp in "Dead Man" on dvd... could watch the dvd later, hmmm. Maybe both?

9. Bought myself a treat to sleep in the other day, sexy skimpy sleepwear, which I NEVER usually do. Must be the humidity getting to me! Hubby liked it too *grin*

10. Actually bought shoes this week!!!! Me, the one woman in the world who does NOT have a shoe fetish. I now have 9 (yes, count 'em) pairs of shoes to my name, including slippers, gumboots and jandals. I finally found some summer work sandals that are comfy, flat (not a heels girl) and best of all, cheap like me. *grins like a cheshire cat*

Sorry, kaige68 that I didn't get to the 'Jeremy is...' today, but maybe tomorrow?

Hope you enjoy the recipes, mrsbean, even though they're probably nothing terrifically spectacular! Let me know how they go!

Haven't seen Beautiful Girls but I LOVE Dead Man. Very weird, indie type thing, but I like that. Great score. Great actors.

I have to say, I'm a little miffed -- a while ago LJ bumped all the 50 icon people to 100, and now they've doubled all the freebie people. What about us paid people with 15? *pouts*

Turned out, I HAD seen Beautiful Girls. As soon as we started watching it, I knew. Whilst I do adore Matt Dillon, I decided we'd watch Dead Man, and you know what? I LOVED it. You are so right. It's fantastic! I'd so love to have some icons from that! I want one that says "I'm with Nobody" or "Nobody's with me". So, so funny in parts too. I was almost on the floor with those three guys and their guns on the picture on the wall!

Oh baby... maybe they'll give you more soon! Still have more than me... *hugs*

Darling you are not the only female on the planet without a shoe fetish. I have 2 pairs of house shoes, 2 pairs of tennis shoes, 2 pairs of sandals...that's the lot. Must be the hobbit tendencies to go barefoot.
Awww your little one in kindergarten. If you're like me in a few months you'll come to relish those few hours. Although they may coincide with you working.
Very nice of the hubby to get the sexy things for you-hope the pregnancy thing isn't contagious...unless it's something you're trying to catch and then best of luck to you. Not that I'm asking or being nosy there-I'm just saying...*winks*

Oh, good grief *slaps head*, do I get to choose these non-shoe-fetish people myself? Come to think of it, it's probably why we flock together. I go barefoot most of summer too. It's the only way to be. Unfortunately I have bad circulation so can't go barefoot in winter AT ALL unless I want to live in agony.

Yeah, imagine my baby out away from his Mum & Dad... far out. Those Kindy teachers have NO IDEA what they are in for. *grin*

No, no, pregnancy is definitely NOT contagious... I've done it thrice and believe me, that's my limit (plus hubby had snip, so not likely!). *Smirk*
