Yes, we're finally beginning to move on the extensions to our house! Hopefully all his measurements will work with what we want (as long as it fits all the rules!) and we'll get plans drawn up soon! ;-)
Yes - we're getting a deck (covered) and another bedroom and bathroom (to make 4 and 2 in total respectively) and some form of garage/carport depending on what room we have and what the rules allow. It's been a long while in the thinking, so we hope that this is the beginning of actually making it happen. Plans to be drawn up and permits are next. ;-)
Yes, roofing isn't cheap - we had ours fixed and painted a few years ago (it's concrete tiles).

(We've just had the chap round to discuss refitting our bathroom, that was a little percentage of your excitement! - We figure that if we move, it will help sell, and if we don't, we get a new bathroom to enjoy. Hoorah!)
Basically, yes! We're getting it extended to add on a 4th bedroom and a second bathroom as well as a covered deck and a new garage or carport, depending on what there's space for and the rules allow.
Oh yay for new bathrooms! We had ours done a few years back and it made a lot of difference, although we've since had to replace the shower because the last one was cheap and shoddy and started leaking... but it's all good now. A second bathroom would do wonders in our home though - two teenage daughters (well, the second will be in Oct) don't make bathroom use easy *sigh*
