Movies this weekend

Watched 1/ Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and 2/ Cold Mountain
Comments following:
1/ What rollicking good fun! If I've seen it before, I forgot it fully! I know I've seen the other two Indy films and I remember bits of them well enough, so who knows? Continuity wasn't always spot on for this film, strangely, as I'd have thought Spielberg would have been more onto it. However, Harrison Ford's naked chest made up for it (Not too muscly, but not too thin either, just how I like 'em...) *tongue out*
2/ Jude Law looking very grubby for the most part - poor fella gets bashed around a fair bit. Renee Zellwegger stole the show, it's true. She deserved her award! Pretty good from me, considering I usually think she looks like she's consumed too many sour lemon drops... And the futility and horrors of war, very very very strong in this. Soppy cow that I am, I even had tears come to my eyes a couple of times!

So, how are ya anyway? Must check out my friends page...*goes to look*

Date: 2005-08-04 11:46 am (UTC)Spielberg I almost always enjoy. And I almost always cry. I might even have cried during Goonies.
Haven't posted since last weekend, need to come up with a good things list. *thinks*
Well, it's almost Friday for you so, have a very lovely weekend.

Date: 2005-08-04 03:21 am (UTC)Cold Mountain was very depressing, I thought Renee was also excellent but the futility of war was such a downer. I actually watched this one Friday Movie Night that I host once a month and everyone was mopey afterwards haha....Not something I'd watch again. Hate when a main character bites the dust at the end too.
