Saturdays...
Jun. 18th, 2005 09:49 pmWorked this morning. Aiming for 6 hrs with a lunch-break, but LF had me awake at 2.30 for a while o'night, and as I didn't get to bed til 11, got up at 5,30... YAWN... I knew I'd never make it past 5 hrs (7am-12pm)... so finished a file at 11.30, decided to skip then. It's OT (overtime) which means I only get paid for the hours I do, could be worse. Looks like only one more OT available, next Sat, as it's the end of the financial year at work end of June. That means no more money for OT for a while. Good and bad. No more early Saturdays, yay! But cash goes down. Never mind, rather sleep in Sat's!!! Eager work bunny here, you can tell. ;-)
Coming home, I'm thinking "Eagle's Nest" - whenever am I not??? - and sitting at the lights, I glance across to read a personalised license plate, what does it say??? "BEANY". I wouldn't have been surprised if I'd looked up and seen an Eagle in the sky just then.... not that we have eagles in NZ. Other birds of prey, yes, just not eagles.
Reminds me, when we were coming home from the weekend at the in-laws last Sun, I said to Hubby, "I've seen a lot of birds of prey today" (EN on mind again, obviously). Hubby says, "Well, it is Sunday". *Groan*.
Actually, I'm going to look up birds of prey in NZ. Must remember what we have here. No cats, definitely no cats (in the wild), unless you count previously-domesticated feral cats. Hmmm.
Slept like a kitty myself for a while this aft too. Exhausted... NEVER get enough sleep. Need about 8-10 hrs a night. Get about 5-6 most nights. Can you tell I'm a Leo? Do you wonder I wanted to be Tiger in the RPG?
Oh well, enough rambling. Will check in again in due course. In the meantime, "Keep passing the open windows" (that's for you, Rose!)

Date: 2005-06-19 10:14 am (UTC)I'm a Leo, but I don't sleep much at all. Mind you, I think it's more that I can't than I don't need to.
And yes, I am still passing those windows. Occasionally leaning out of them, but strictly in the "God, give me a breeze!" sort of way. Thank you.

Date: 2005-06-20 09:47 pm (UTC)Well, babe, I'm with you at the moment, not sleeping much, but do NEED it. I'm living on the adrenalin just now... that's what being creative, and totally addicted to the RPG, is doing for me!!!
Glad you're only leaning out! *Smiles & shakes head*
