There should be 10 things every day I suppose, but I can never quite manage it. These are partly today's and partly yesterday's, so read on if you care...

1. OK, so it's Friday and I'm finished work already, that's a start!

2. Yesterday morning the fire alarm went off at work at 7.05am, and within minutes of us (all four who were there at that time of the morn)leaving the building, two firetrucks and a van arrived, and the place was full of firemen! Unfortunately I didn't see any I wanted to take home, but one of them had an axe!!! (Why am I now seeing Eric Bana in a fireman's outfit in my head???). No fire, a dusty old heater had set off a smoke alarm. Watching firemen bustle about looking strong and brave killed 30 mins of otherwise boring work-time, anyway.

3. Shortly after that, I realised the urinary infection that I thought I was getting over on Monday, was back with a vengeance.... quick trip to the Dr's and armed with antibiotics, I raced home, no more work for the day! Later on, feeling much better, no more peeing every ten minutes! (that sounds like a bad thing at first, but getting to the no-constant-peeing stage is definitely something to be grateful for.... sorry, TMI?)

4. Having extra time at home yesterday meant that I was able to finish reading "The Runes of the Earth" the Stephen Donaldson book I'd borrowed MONTHS ago, but couldn't be bothered to finish as I had BETTER things to read (and you can work that one out yourselves). Poor D had asked for her book back, I'd had it so long! Anyway, I made it my mission to finish it before today so she could have it back by the weekend, but I was beginning to think I wouldn't make it! Yay for unexpected sick days!

5. Last night I read some more chapters of a great BHD slash that

blueskydancers sent me. Thanks, B, I'm so enjoying this story so much! Bring on the next few chapters!

6. On the way to work this morning, they said my name on my fave radio station!!!!!!! *squee* I had e-mailed in a "Dawnbreaker Request" which they do every morn at 6.25am, but I only get to listen on Fri morns as it's the only day I'm on my way to work when they play it! It's supposed to be a song you haven't heard for ages, which mine was, but they didn't find it yet *sob*, so it didn't actually get played... (But they read out parts of my e-mail, including the Lestat quote I have on the end of my e-m's!) Oh squeeeeeeeeee....

7. The radio DJ said they have another week to find my song ("Driftwood" by the Moody Blues) so it may yet get played!!!!!

8. The sun has been out all day today and it was out yesterday too! We've had pretty much crappy wet weather most of the last couple of months here, with it being winter and all. So nice to see sunshine (it's even on me as I type, oh luscious!) it's cold in the mornings, but at least it's sunny!

9. It's "Family Night" at our house tonight (once a month) and it's MY TURN!!! This means I choose what we eat and do! I've been to the supermarket already, and we'll be having Chicken Tortellini with Carbonara sauce (LF will get "little red sausages", ie cocktails sausi's, as he doesn't eat it, dunno what his problem is???), and we have Chocolate fudge icecream, and Sprite to drink. Also got some mini-doughnuts for nibbles, yum! I decided that since there's bugger-all of interest on TV tonight, we'll hit the video store when I collect the girls from school. They can choose pre-teen girly stuff (which they will probably do, knowing my luck!), and maybe the Hubby and I will get something for us to drool over later (okay, me to drool over then).
