Birthday Things

Excellent day so far. Since I've reached the age of "The Answer", I was hoping to have some, but so far can't come up with any, sorry! Perhaps I just can't get the Question right either... oh well!

The kids let me sleep in til 8.30, that in itself is about the best birthday present you could give a mother on a Sunday! Then a cuppa in bed, followed by my present, "Pirates of the Carribbean" on dvd (special 2disc set too!), and a bit later - an excellent brunch.

We went shopping and I found two nice summer shirts (not that I shall be wearing them for a while, but couldn't find anything for the current season that I liked). Would've liked some new pants or a skirt for work, but no such luck of course. Never mind, I like the shirts and they make me feel like winter will finish SOON!

I'm about to turn on POTC and have a drool session, so just as well it's suitable for kids! Let's just hope they're not as damn noisy as last time I tried to see it! Lots of yummy food to indulge in - coffee cake, afgan biscuits, chocolate, and licorice allsorts! Sounds good! Later, it's roast chicken, then orange choc-chip icecream for dessert, so it's all good!

Going to watch "Mystic River" on Sky tonight, so I won't be going into the RPG. Don't think Tiger will be missed yet, unless that Monday meeting gets too far ahead of me! I'll just make him "fashionably late" if so!

So, hope you all had, or are still having, good weekends! Catch up with you soon! Thanks to the Gods of Birthdays for making mine a good one (and the sun even shone, too!)! *Blows out far too many candles and falls over out of breath*

Hope this isn't too weird but I wanted to wish you happy birthday - only just got an lj account but I have been reading the Eagles Nest RPG for a while. Just too chicken to come out of lurkerdom:) Until now!!!

Just wanted to say that I love your writing on the RPG - Tiger is seriously hot and you write him wonderfully. I have only just seen the Lost two-part opener...my first glimpse of Josh Holloway in the 'flesh' so to speak.

Words fail me *grins*

My god, that accent...he's gorgeous!!

Thanks for your wishes, I'm so pleased I had a little something to do with you coming out of lurkerdom! *snicker*

Thank you also for your compliments! This is my first foray into writing in the public domain, so I'm very gratified to find people like what I'm doing with Tiger. [livejournal.com profile] sindahise has given us some fantastic characters to work with!

Glad you like Josh as much as I do. We've had the whole first series here already, so I had a headstart on many! I'm totally in love, more so since becoming Tiger! *smiles inanely*

I got seriously hooked on Eagle's Nest and Sindahise is a wonderful author....just blown away by her talent. Now there's the RPG and I get more wonderful stuff to read...it's fantastic. All of you authors do a great job.

You've seen all of Lost already???

What happens?

NO NO....DON'T TELL ME...JUST KIDDING;)

Josh is damned sexy though...what IS IT about those bad boys? *grins*

[identity profile] haldoor.livejournal.com 2005-08-19 10:41 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, Sinda's great! Thanks agin for the compliments!

Yup, seen it all. Just hanging around waiting for next year now! *sniff* Missing Josh though! My weekly dose is gone!

Nah, won't tell, nuhhuh. But... it's a cliffhanger!

Yeah, sexy as! Bad boys? Well, I say he's got a softer side, he's a poor little lost boy, and that's part of the appeal, the bluster, then the side you wanna pick up and cuddle out of his problems! Have you seen his flashback yet?

[identity profile] morgaine-71.livejournal.com 2005-08-19 01:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Just about to watch the first ep after the pilot...is the flashback in this one? Intrigued to see that I can tell you;)

I like characters that rub the others up the wrong way and Josh's does it very well. And what's up with that Korean couple? That's just odd:)

But no odder than having a chuffing polar bear on a tropical island!!! At the end of it am I going to be sitting here saying 'Huh?' or 'Aaaaarrgghhgh?' Or both?:)

[identity profile] haldoor.livejournal.com 2005-08-19 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
No, his flashback takes a while as I recall. You will understand what I mean about little boy lost when you see it anyway!

Oh yes, he can rub them up the wrong way VERY easily. Just wait til you see the torture scene with Sayid, and oh, I liked the "I Never" game with Kate too, mmhmm. "Never kissed a man" indeed!

The Koreans will be explained in due course, my friend!

Probably both, I'm pretty sure, tis very Swiss Family Robinson meets the X-Files to some extent!

[identity profile] morgaine-71.livejournal.com 2005-08-19 09:52 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm definitely WAY intrigued now;) I like the analogy...Swiss Family Robinson meets The X Files...that made me laugh but it's about right!!!

If the box set was available here now I'd buy it and watch it all in one go......it takes too long *whines* Then I could freeze frame those lovely dimples of Josh's. *slobber*

I need help *hangs head*

[identity profile] haldoor.livejournal.com 2005-08-20 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, it's definitely the best description I can think of!

Oh, you'll get there. Where are you?

No, no, you don't. Because if you do, then I need MORE help. I'm way far more gone *snicker*

[identity profile] morgaine-71.livejournal.com 2005-08-20 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
That's true actually because you've had more 'exposure' to The Dimpled One *grins*

It's that loooong body...he moves sort of like a tiger...funny that *winks*

I'll be in a bad way by the time Lost has finished here. But I can't wait *evil laugh a la Dr Evil*

[identity profile] haldoor.livejournal.com 2005-08-20 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, you can kinda see why [livejournal.com profile] sindahise decided Josh would be Tiger in Eagle's Nest, cant ya?

It's never a bad way to have been completely obliterated by obsession for pretties, honestly, it isn't. I should know, I've been in trouble for years otherwise!

[identity profile] morgaine-71.livejournal.com 2005-08-22 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
It will give me something to aspire too, yes?;)

Got this whole southern hemisphere thing going on at the moment...Marton Csokas, Karl Urban, Hugh Jackman and the sex on legs that is Eric Bana. What the hell is in the water down there?

They should bottle it....they'd make a bloody fortune;)

[identity profile] haldoor.livejournal.com 2005-08-26 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, they do, believe me... but don't think they sell it outside of NZ, sorry! *grins*. Not sure about Australia, but hell, they visit here often enough, most of 'em, so bound to drink a bit of our water too *snicker*!
