Everybody's doin' it...
So it seems. Might as well jump on the boat too, huh?
I'm about ready to sell mine. Getting behind tonight and had put LF in the bath while I cooked dinner (surprisingly this is usually safe enough with apologies to the toothpaste tube on occasion), and thought I could smell something vaguely chemical... OH NO!
Go to check and not only has he emptied most of a bottle of green body lotion in the bath (from the shelf supposedly too high for him to reach, therefore he's stood on the end of the bath in order to do so, grrrrrrrrrrrrr), which is not such a hugely bad thing since a) it cleans up and b) I never use the stuff anyhow; but he's also managed to get the top off the nail polish up there and empty most of that in the bath too... cue Mum putting him into the shower and closing the door so she doesn't get violent, and then the great bath clean-up begins.
Do you know nail polish makes a lovely film right across the bathwater when you pour it in there? And it sticks gorgeously to the side of the bath.
Scrubbing done for next twenty mins to clean bathroom that I was not intending to clean at 7pm when I'm already behind on getting children fed *pulls hair*, and it won't all come off. The small mercies list: it was clear nail polish, and I doubt anyone will ever slide in the bath again with the gritty bottom.
LF of course is pottering about in the shower as I do this and nearly unscrews one of the door handles off. JEEZ! Why don't they make things unscrewable for 4 year olds, rather than for their mothers??? If he hadn't been able to unscrew the nail polish he wouldn't have been in the shower unscrewing the door handles!!!
Poor girls got most of the brunt of their mother's anger thereafter as LF is completely oblivious to the rage I'm in by this point. What is it with him? Still, I think he understands he will get a sore bum should he ever attempt said emptying into bath again. Perhaps.
Much yelling at the girls as they weren't doing what I asked once again. However, all redeemed more or less by 8.15pm, so hopefully they know they are not hated, it's more their poor mother is tired and stressed and cannot cope!!!
*sigh* Merry Christmas everyone, 'tis the season to be jolly. Yeah, right.
Okay, to end on a positive note, two fun/good things:

kaige68, one of them was MMN... hmmm. Anyway, I said that perhaps I should try doing phone sex at the moment, might make lots of money. They both laughed. So did I. "Fiery redhead", eh *winks* therosewilde? (The way I feel about work right now, maybe I should.)
