WOOHOO! It's done.
Yes, it is. I have been dedicated to my cards/letters this week (well, apart from the absolute NEED to go into the EN RPG every day), and can now say they are finished, the letters are scrawled on (Newsletter with additional notes for all penpals & the handwritten notes for my fellow LJ flist lovelies), the envelopes addressed, stickers and return labels and stamps are all done.... I give myself the big tick!
Okay, never mind I still have to do the Kiwis & the Aussies in a few weeks... that's not as bad anyway, not so many letters, more just cards by themselves.
I just took LF out to post the cards, and it's a beautiful spring day in Auckland... hot for the time of year (maybe 22 deg C, about 75 deg F?), and it was nice, apart from the stroppy bugger not wanting to wear his hat. Ended up swapping with him near the end. He looked good in my floppy straw thingy, but I felt dorky in his Legionnaires cap with the sharks on... the thing a mother does to keep the kid happy. ;-P
Anyway, there were a lot of hassles along the way, btw, so it is indeed a miracle that we got to today with hours to spare. One clue: when printing the newletters out, do take the tiny toy out of the printer first. Then the paper will go through straight, and not cause you to remove vast amounts of your own hair.
Didn't get to bed before 11.30pm all week (get up 5.45, so not really good), which shows my dedication to the cause, but the upside was I saw two repeats of Lost whilst card-making *grin* Oh, joy!!! Needed that, since we don't have the new season yet. *sulks*
And it's off to Brownie camp with my two delicious daughters for the weekend next (we go tonight 7pm, not home til halfway through Sunday), so no computer play for two days. *cries*
Ah, well, can get back to theporn fun next week! And I've just been informed, by the ever-lovely
dubh_ceol that 27th Nov - 4th Dec is "Tattoo-Kink Week", so if you enjoyed Neckslash week and you like tattoos, get ready to join in! Get your fics and pics ready now!
Oh, and before I forget: late entries for the Xmas cards,
niceandfluffy and
mrsbean, your cards are winging their way to you too! Yay! If I missed anyone who wanted one, TOO BAD! No, actually, can always scan you a special one if you're desperate.
Okay, ramble over. Time toget away say goodbye for now to
therosewilde and
dubh_ceol who have been ever-so-wonderfully distracting me on MSN *smooches you both*, and go collect the kids from school! Have a fun weekend everyone!

Your weather is about the same as ours today. Our high temp is supposed to be 75f. Only it's unusually hot for us, we're in fall so it should be about 20 degrees cooler. Our September - early November temps this year were the hottest on record. They have been keeping temp records here in the states since the 1880's.

wow, you and us both with the temps, huh? Tho' today is cooler - didn't get past about 18C (about 68F). Not that this was a record for us as far as I know.
