'Cause I've been wanting to do this one for ages. Maybe you'll like it, maybe it sucks. And it's better than whinging about how crappy I'm feeling. Kids aren't all well either, but blah blah blah.Do this instead:
Make five (sort-of) outrageous claims. Three must be true, two are false. Let people guess which are which. Tag some friends if you want. I won't, because I don't do that. But c'mon flist, do it? Could be fun! Here's mine: UPDATED WITH THE ANSWERS1. I was dux (top student) of my Primary (elementary) School.
True. When I was 11 , I was so clever. Wonder what happened? *scratches head*2. My father died four days before I turned 2, and my Granddad died on my 27th birthday.
True. My dad was a truck driver and fell out of the cab trying to close the door. He fell down a steep embankment & died. I now have a slight paranoia about car doors being open when the car is moving. My Granddad had an unexpected heart-attack and died suddenly when I was in England. Had I been in NZ, it was the day after my b'day.
3. I was in a movie with David Bowie.
False. But close to true - my brother was an extra in "Merry Christmas, Mr Lawrence"
4. I was a high-jump champion in High School.
False. The only jumping I did, was to conclusions!!!5. I met the Bee Gees and have photos and autographs to prove it.
True. In 1989, when I was in England, my friend bought me "One" (their latest album at the time) as an early b'day present, and free tickets to a "special concert" were part of the deal. She never believed it was real, or that it would be them, so I took my brother and his friend, and we got to see them perform live for the first time in 10 years, and
be the audience in the video for "One" which they made that day. Also got the autographs, photos, and the free T-shirt! Woo! Biggest moment of my young life at that time!
And just because it's was Heath's birthday yesterday:
